HORIZON REFERENCE SYSTEM FOR ARLEIGH BURKE-CLASS GUIDED MISSILE DESTROYERS, CONSTELLATION-CLASS FRIGATES, AND FREEDOM AND INDEPENDENCE-CLASS LITTORAL COMBAT SHIPS

This solicitation is for the design, manufacture and support of a Horizon Reference System (HRS) for fielded Freedom Class and Independence Class Littoral Combat Ships (LCS class), production Arleigh Burke Class Guided Missile Destroyers (DDG 51 Flight III class), production Constellation Class Frigates (FFG 62 class) and possible future ship classes not yet defined, in support of the Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment Program, Visual Landing Aids Division, and is anticipated to result in multiple awards of an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 16.504. The Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) type utilized in orders resulting under this contract will be Firm Fixed Price. The Ordering Period is from date of contract award through five (5) years after contract award. A Draft Performance work Statement for the first delivery order has also been included as an attachment for informational purposes only to review ahead of release of the first delivery order request for proposal.
