PRESOLICITATION NOTICE FOR STORMWATER IMPROVEMENTS, HAMMOND, LAKE COUNTY, INDIANA (USACE ACQUISITION)

This Pre-Solicitation Notice is being issued by the United States Army Corps of Engineers - Chicago District to inform interested/potential contractors of the District's imminent issue of an Invitation for Bid Package for its construction project entitled, "Stormwater Improvements, Hammond, Lake County, Indiana (USACE Acquisition)." PROJECT INFORMATION: The project work involves the construction of increased capacity to convey stormwater from the Dowling Park neighborhood eastward to a 90" diameter storm water interceptor on Kentucky Street. Increased capacity to convey storm water will be achieved with the installation of a new 54" storm sewer pipe. Approximately 1,630 linear feet of 54" pipe will be installed using open trench construction methods. All of the work will be conducted within the public right-of-way (176th Place or Parrish Avenue) or on property/parcels owned by Hammond through the Hammond Park District and the City of Hammond Redevelopment Commission. The North American Industry System Classification Code is 237110, with a small business size standard in dollars of $45.0 Million. The magnitude of cost for construction is estimated between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The Solicitation (Invitation for Bids ��IFB�) will be downloadable from the INTERNET ONLY. The project specification files are Portable Document Format (PDF) files and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Once the package is released into advertisement at this website ("System for Award Management"), interested bidders may download the full package, includes: specification and drawings files. The Solicitation package is planned for advertisement on or about May 19, 2023, with bids due on or about June 21, 2023.
